Carly is the Coordinator of the Office of Global Learning at the University of Florida International Center. Originally from southeast Missouri, Carly earned a B.A. in English with minors in French and Small Press Publishing and later a M.A. in TESOL from Southeast Missouri State University. Before joining UF Carly spent nine years teaching ESL in higher education and discovered a passion for and research interest in composition pedagogy, educational technology, and instructional design leading her to earn an Instructional Design MasterTrack Certificate from the University of Illinois. In 2019 Carly completed an English Language Fellowship with the U.S. Department of State which allowed her the opportunity to teach and perform teacher training in Uganda.
When not working with students or developing programming, Carly likes to spend her free time playing with her dog, doing yoga, and exploring new places.
