Building professional connections is a key piece of the job search process in the U.S. This interactive workshop will address strategies to network as well as other job search strategies for international students seeking opportunities in the U.S. We will discuss how to build your network, communication with employers and other professionals, and some of the unwritten rules of the U.S. job market.

Starting on August 12 through August 30, 2019 Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm

F-1 International Students will have access and help with the UF Division of Enrollment Management Registrar, Admissions, Student Financial Affairs, Bursar Credentials and Transcript Processing, Records and Registration, Tuition and Fees, and Financial Aid.

As part of our International Student Series, learn about different ways to obtain an employment based visa post-graduation in this informational workshop. Aaron Blumberg, an Immigration Attorney with Fragomen Associates, will be delivering a presentation and answering your questions related to H1B Visas and other ways to legally remain in the US.

International Student Series: Navigating and Making Connections at Career Fairs

Career Fairs, like Career Showcase, can be intimidating for anyone. This workshop will give you some strategies to feel more confident navigating career fairs and how to communicate with other professionals there. We will go over how to deliver an effective elevator pitch, discuss employment eligibility as an international student, and how to prepare for Career Showcase.
