Departmental Administrator / HR
Departmental administrators are the primary liaisons between EVS and UF host departments. Usually, HR representatives or administrative assistants serve as departmental administrators. Prospective faculty supervisors are instructed to contact their department's HR when interested in sponsoring a J-1 exchange visitor.
If your department intends to invite a J-1 exchange visitor, you must first complete the EVS J-1 Admin training. To request access to the course, please email evs@ufic.ufl.edu. In this course, you will learn about the stages of a scholar's program, how to request form DS-2019 from EVS, how to submit amendment requests to update a scholar's program, and other important information.
