Inviting Degree-Seeking Students

The student must first be admitted to the University of Florida. The academic department must then submit the New International Student Request Form online in the International Center’s portal.  

The process is the same for F-1 and J-1 degree-seeking students. The department does not need to know which visa type the student will use. In the student portion of the application, they will be prompted to select their desired visa type. The International Center will then evaluate whether the student is eligible for that visa type.
