J-2 Dependents

To maintain valid visa status, J-2 dependents are required to:

Maintain current, valid copies of all required documents at all times:

Passport
I-94 record

Live with their J-1 exchange visitor (spouse or parent) while in the US
Only work with a valid Employment Authorization Document
Maintain valid health insurance even when outside the US
Obtain a valid travel signature prior to international travel

J-2 dependents are permitted to attend school in the US on a full-time or part-time basis.
