Responsibilities of Faculty, Staff and Students

It is the policy of the University of Florida to comply fully with all federal and state laws about export controls. All UF projects and programs must adhere to the UF Export Control Policy and all applicable laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and all sanctions and embargoes administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

UF Research Integrity, Security & Compliance (RISC) provides support to UF’s research community to ensure regulatory and institutional compliance and promote the highest ethical standards in research.

The University of Florida conducts research in compliance with established federal, state, and local rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. RISC develops and implements research compliance programs and coordinates activities with various compliance offices and committees.

RISC is also responsible for reviewing and facilitating the investigation of research misconduct or other research integrity deviations.
