Permanent Withdrawal
Situation: The student is currently in F-1 status and plans to permanently end studies. The student must depart the U.S. upon termination of the F-1 SEVIS record.
If the student intends to withdraw from the University of Florida permanently, the student should inform the academic department and the International Student Advisor (ISA). The student must submit the End Student Status request (linked below) and upload a copy of the flight itinerary showing the departure date. The SEVIS/I-20 record will then be terminated. The student must depart the U.S. within 15 days of the termination. If in the future the student wants to return to study, the student will need to apply for readmission.
