John Mulligan has been appointed the Director of Study Abroad Services (SAS)

The UF International Center is pleased to announce that Mr. John Mulligan has been appointed the Director of Study Abroad Services (SAS) and International Risk Management, effective Friday 21 August 2026. 

Over the past 14 months as Interim Director of the ​unit, John has demonstrated exceptional leadership, management, and strategic vision while continuing his exemplary performance in directing Global Health & Safety for the University of Florida.

Leveraging the decades of experience and scholarly expertise of our Study Abroad team, John has launched innovations such as protocols and rubrics for the new UF Faculty-Led program selection, implemented holistic portfolio evaluation for all Study Abroad activities, and increased dialogue with university stakeholders.
