Sugandh Gupta Joins International Workshop on Medical Anthropology in South Asia

Sugandh Gupta, Assistant Professor of Anthropology, participated in a select group of early-career South Asian medical anthropologists to deliberate and workshop on the theme ‘Therapeutic Authority: Contemporary Perspectives from South Asia.’ Organized at the Geneva Graduate Institute and funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, this 4-day workshop (June 23 – June 26, 2026) resulted in a special journal issue. Participating in this workshop helped build new professional connections with colleagues in Europe and expand her existing professional relationships in India and the US.
