UF and UPI Strengthen Global Partnership Through MoU Renewal
The University of Florida’s College of Design, Construction and Planning (DCP) hosted a delegation from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), including Rector Prof. Dr. Didi Sukyadi, Vice Rector Dr. Vanessa Gaffar, Audit Committee Chair Prof. Disman, and Associate Professor Dr. Beta Paramita, for a visit to the University of Florida campus. A major highlight of the visit was the official UF–UPI MoU Renewal Signing Ceremony, held at the Ramos Collaboratory. The ceremony brought together DCP Dean and Distinguished Professor Chimay Anumba, FREng; Associate Provost and Graduate School Dean Nicole Stedman; Trustee and Distinguished Professor Raymond Issa; and Rector Didi Sukyadi, reaffirming and strengthening the institutional partnership between UF and UPI.
The delegation’s visit included a robust agenda of academic and strategic discussions, as well as a meeting with the University of Florida International Center (UFIC) team. Delegates engaged with coordinators representing Study Abroad, Fulbright, Faculty Development, and Global Research Engagement to explore opportunities for expanded collaboration in global education and research. The delegation also toured the UF East Campus, where they received a firsthand look at the HiperGator supercomputer, and visited Kennedy Space Center during their time in Florida.
UFIC looks forward to the new global education, research, and academic opportunities that this renewed partnership between UF and UPI will create.
