Kyoto University Students Return to UF for Academic Exchange
The University of Florida recently welcomed a group of undergraduate students from Kyoto University, continuing a growing academic exchange between the two institutions.
Led by Fumitaka Wakamatsu, Ph.D., Associate Professor at Kyoto University, the students are spending time at UF participating in lectures, academic activities and cultural experiences designed to introduce them to the University of Florida and the Gainesville community. The students represent a range of academic disciplines, bringing diverse interests and perspectives to the exchange.
The visit builds on a developing partnership between UF and Kyoto University that includes both student and faculty exchange. Kaoru Kitajima, Professor at Kyoto University and a longtime collaborator with UF, is serving as a point of contact for this year’s visit while in Gainesville.
The UF International Center is pleased to support this ongoing exchange and looks forward to strengthening the connections between UF and Kyoto University through future opportunities for students, faculty and researchers.
