UF Welcomes New International Students and Scholars at Annual Reception

The University of Florida welcomed hundreds of international students and scholars to campus during the New International Student and Scholar Welcome Reception on September 22 at the Reitz Union.

Hosted by the UF International Center, the event brought together members of the Global Gator Nation for an evening of connection, celebration, and community. UF President Dr. Stuart R. Bell served as the featured speaker, warmly greeting attendees and sharing words of welcome as students begin their UF journey.

With delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and opportunities to connect with fellow students and members of the UF community, the reception offered a memorable introduction to life as a Gator, including learning the Gator Chomp! The event celebrated the diverse perspectives and experiences international students and scholars bring to the university, reinforcing UF’s commitment to fostering a globally engaged campus community.
