Terrence Funke

Terrence Funke is Executive Assistant to Dean Villalón. Terrence earned his B.A. in English from the University of Florida and has been working in retail management for 10 years. Terrence has always maintained a strong connection to Gainesville, returning periodically to judge for the UF Speech and Debate Team, of which he is a proud alumnus. He enjoys reading, writing, and riding his bike in his free time, and is extremely happy to be back home at UF!

Sara Williams

Sara, a Gainesville native, holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources, both from St. Leo University. She has been with UF since 2016 and joined the International Center in September 2021. In collaboration with unit supervisors, Sara manages all HR transactions including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll, records management, and employee relations.

Sharon Brown

Sharon is originally from New Jersey but grew up in Miami. She has a BA in Political Science from the University of Florida and studied abroad in Rio de Janeiro during her junior year. Prior to joining the UFIC, Sharon worked as a prospect researcher at the UF Foundation. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, writing, watching movies and Gator sports.

Christina Cozart

Christina Cozart is the Marketing Assistant and Graphic Designer at the University of Florida International Center (UFIC). She assists the Communications Manager in the implementation of UFIC’s marketing and promotion strategies. She comes to UFIC from The Independent Alligator student newspaper where she was a production manager. Christina has also worked as lead graphic designer for various employers and as an advertising instructor at the UF College of Journalism and Communications.

Will Collante

Will has a Master's degree in Decision and Information Sciences from the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida. He has been at the University of Florida for 14 years as a web developer, Database Architect, and Systems Administrator. He is involved with the Information Technology needs and IT direction of the International Center. He enjoys time writing music, photography and spending time with kids and family.

Yanina Morero

Yanina is responsible for formulating and recommending policies and procedures to improve management capabilities and operational procedures for the software programs used to report on international students and study abroad students. She also maintains the UFIC website and provide statistical reports as needed to UFIC and UF Colleges and Departments.

Mabel Cardec

Mabel Cardec is the Communications Manager at the University of Florida International Center (UFIC). She oversees UFIC’s communication activities to promote the internationalization of the UF campus, and to raise the visibility of UFIC services. Mabel publishes UFIC’s weekly e-newsletter (UF Global) to raise UF's profile as a lead academic international institution.

Susan Lukowe, CPA

Susan is responsible for management of all UFIC business and financial activities, and oversight of fiscal staff and operations. She is responsible for the center’s budget allocation and management of all center funding sources, leading financial initiatives for long range planning including establishment of fees collected for study abroad, RCM calculations and overseeing financial reporting for the center.

Susanne Hill, Ph.D.

Susanne Hill is the Executive Director of the University of Florida International Center (UFIC). In this capacity, she oversees International Student Services and Exchange Visitor Services. She also serves as the Director for Study Abroad Services.

Leonardo A. Villalón, Ph.D.

Leonardo A. Villalón is Dean of the International Center and Professor of Political Science and African Studies at the University of Florida.  From 2002-2011 he served as Director of UF’s Center for African Studies, a Title VI comprehensive National Resource Center.  Villalón has a Ph.D.
