Darian Hector

Before joining UFIC, Darian worked as a Spanish tutor at Valdosta State University (VSU) and later taught Spanish to grades 6-12 as a certified World Language educator in Georgia. In 2019, he moved to Gainesville and began teaching Beginning Spanish courses in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese Studies while pursuing a Master of Arts in Hispanic Linguistics.

Carly L. Vogelsang

Carly is the Coordinator of the Office of Global Learning at the University of Florida International Center. Originally from southeast Missouri, Carly earned a B.A. in English with minors in French and Small Press Publishing and later a M.A. in TESOL from Southeast Missouri State University. Before joining UF Carly spent nine years teaching ESL in higher education and discovered a passion for and research interest in composition pedagogy, educational technology, and instructional design leading her to earn an Instructional Design MasterTrack Certificate from the University of Illinois.

Sanaz Nazari

Sanaz Nazari joined the Office of Undergraduate Academic Programs as a Research Assistant for the QEP Learning without Borders initiative and International Studies major in 2018, and now supports the new Office of Global Learning. Her primary roles include using statistical methods to analyze the data regarding study abroad, campus climate cohorts’ surveys (QEP International Critical Thinking and Communication Attitudes and Beliefs survey), and the International Scholars Program (ISP) courses. While receiving her Ph.D.
