In the course of acclimating to life in Gainesville, students and scholars frequently have questions about where to turn for particular needs, such as university based resources, housing, transportation, and community resources.   • Find your Academic Advising Contacts and learn how academic advising is conducted in your area.
  • Academic Resources offers tutoring, supplemental instruction, test reviews, Language Studio, and video resources.
  • The Bursar Office assesses tuition and fees, bills, and collects amounts owed to the university, disburses financial aid, processes student refunds, etc.
  • Career Connections Center (C3) is the comprehensive career services operation responsible for providing world class career and professional development for all students.
    • The Molm Family Gator Career Closet serves as a resource for students to add professional clothing and accessories to their wardrobe free of charge.
  • The Computing Help Desk provides phone, email, and walk-in direct consulting to faculty, staff, and students and escalation or referral to campus help desks and service providers.
  • Counseling and Wellness Center faculty and staff assist UF students cultivate their mental health and well-being in support of their personal, educational, and career development.
  • The Dean of Students Office creates a culture of care for students, their families, faculty, and staff by providing exemplary programs and services designed to enhance students' academic and personal success.
    • CARE Area inspires a culture of coordinated support to guide students through events that could negatively impact their collegiate experience.
    • Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (SCCR) is the main university entity that works with students to resolve disciplinary matters.
  • Disability Resource Center facilitates access and accommodations for UF students with disabilities.
  • English Language Institute classes are available for an additional cost to practice formal, academic spoken and written English.
  • Field & Fork Food Pantry is a free resource offering supplementary pantry staples such as bread, nonperishable canned items, frozen meats, and seasonal produce from the Field & Fork Farm and Gardens.
  • Florida Fresh Dining offers diverse selections and convenient meal options for Gators living on and off campus.
  • Gator Well Health Promotion Services empowers students to be healthy and well through prevention.
  • Gators Ticket Office offers discounted tickets for UF students to many UF athletic events.
  • The Graduate School is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and enforcing minimum general standards of graduate study and for coordinating the graduate programs of the various colleges and divisions of the university.
  • Housing & Residence Life provides well-maintained, inclusive, community-oriented facilities on campus where residents and staff are empowered to learn, innovate, and succeed.
    • Off Campus Life is committed to educating and assisting UF students to achieve a positive off campus living experience.
  • New Student & Family Programs supports students adjusting to college life as well as offer family members opportunities to understand and engage with their student.
  • Ombuds assists students, staff, and faculty in resolving problems and conflicts that arise in the course of interacting with the University of Florida.
  • The Public Speaking Lab offers assistance to those seeking to develop effective speaking skills across academic disciplines.
  • RecSports offers experiences that enrich the lives of the UF community through excellence in facilities, fitness, sport, adventure, and play.
  • The Registrar provides information about registration, enrollment, your student record and more.
  • The Reitz Union is a space for all students to gather, collaborate and exchange ideas right in the heart of UF campus.
    • The Virtual Union is your digital hub for need-to-know resources, programs, services, and student events in one place. 
  • Report incidents of gender-based discrimination, harassment, or violence (Title IX violations).
  • Student Activities & Involvement provides the foundation for student organizations and their initiatives, facilitates activities and engagement opportunities, and advises, mentors, and educates students to maximize their student experience.
    • International Mentorship Association is a registered student organization that fosters a multicultural exchange experience while convening a diverse community of leaders.
    • NaviGators International is a registered student organization that connects international and domestic UF students.
    • VISA - Volunteers for International Student Affairs is a registered student organization that provides cross cultural experiences in international awareness and friendship.
    • Graduate Student Council serves as a liaison between graduate students, the UF administration and UF Student Government. Funded by UF Student Government, GSC is a voice for graduate student needs, concerns, and ideas and provides a number of services to graduate students.
  • Student Financial Aid and Scholarships has information on the limited funding available for international students.
  • Student Health Care Center provides clinical care and support focusing on chronic or acute concerns.
    • Health Compliance assists you in your health insurance and immunization needs.
    • GatorGradCare health insurance is available exclusively to Graduate Assistants, Teaching Assistants, and Research Assistants on appointment (.25 FTE or higher) at UF.
  • Student Legal Services provides eligible UF students a full range of typical legal services, most at no cost.
  • Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) has all of the information about transportation options on campus including Campus Connector, Gator Lift, e-scooters, SNAP, and of course, RTS bus service.
  • UF Performing Arts offers discounted tickets for UF students to many artistic performances.
  • University Police Department (UPD) is an integral part of the university’s dedication to developing and maintaining a safe and secure campus through the cooperative efforts of many university departments and community organizations.
    • Victim Services provides access to a victim advocate to answer questions, provide emotional support, accompany and support victims through all stages of the criminal justice process, and provide referrals. You do NOT have to make a police report to access this resource.
  • Victim Resources are available for you through UF, local, and national sources. We believe that crime is never the fault of the victim. We understand that accessing and navigating resources may be a difficult and daunting task. If you would like to talk to a Victim Advocate to discuss any of these resources or next steps, you can contact the Office of Victim Services at: (352) 392-5648.
  • The Writing Studio supports independent learning and encourages scholarship by providing one-on-one consultations.
