Recognizing the critical importance of staff for comprehensive campus internationalization, the Office of Global Learning (OGL) provides professional development opportunities tailored for non-academic personnel. Staff are invited to join one of the programs below to enhance your international communication and collaboration skills while developing projects and resources relevant to your areas of responsibility.
COIL for Staff
This cohort-based program, UF staff from across the University are matched with peers in similar professional roles at an institution abroad. Over 8 weeks, you will join a series of online meetings to compare and contrast job responsibilities and experiences with your counterparts and develop an collaborative project aimed at improving some aspect of your area of responsibility, gaining global perspectives and intercultural skills along the way.
Intercultural Leadership Institute
Through this semester-long program, you can enhance your intercultural skills and learn to design and facilitate intercultural learning for students, colleagues, or other learners. Through a mixture of synchronous and asynchronous activities, you will explore topics like intercultural communication, mindfulness, personal leadership, cultural dimensions, and more.
