Fueling the War

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 was one of the most consequential events in contemporary European history, resulting in profound human suffering, widespread destruction of Ukraine’s infrastructure, and the worst humanitarian crisis in Europe since World War II. in addition, the war has had far-reaching geopolitical implications and precipitated a reevaluation of Europe’s relationship with Russia as a partner in the energy trade. In this webinar the panelists explore the significance of energy trade with Russia in shaping the initial European response to the Russian attack, how Europe has adapted in the year since the war began and how we might expect the situation to develop moving forward.
