Students may submit most I-20s requests for review and processing online through the ISSS Portal. Click on the applicable section(s) below to review the information and submit your I-20 request online. After you submit a complete I-20 request, we will review the request for processing. If we need any clarifications, we will email you via your GatorLink account. Be sure to check your inbox and spam folders. Please allow 7-10 business days for review and processing. Some processes, such as OPT and STEM OPT Recommendation I-20 requests, may require additional time for review and processing. We are unable to assist with the OPT Recommendation and STEM OPT Recommendation I-20s until you are within 90 days prior to your program completion or OPT card expiration date, respectively.
You will receive an email when your I-20 is ready. We will issue the I-20 electronically and will either email it to you or upload it to your record in the ISSS portal and email you the instructions regarding how to download the I-20. You must then print the I-20 so that you have a printed paper document in hand whenever you need it. Also, make sure to sign your name and date in the Student Attestation section on page one of the I-20. We recommend that you print the I-20 in color and sign your name in blue ink. The printed I-20 can be used for your visa appointment with the US Embassy/Consulate, for travel to the U.S. (along with your valid F-1 visa and passport), to apply for a State ID or Driver’s License, etc.
I-20 Updates
The Continued Attendance I-20 may be used for re-entry of the student to attend the same school after traveling, when signed by an International Student Advisor in the Travel Endorsement section on page two. Each travel signature is valid for only one year from the signature date. If you need a new signature, click on the request button. This online process takes one week. Your processed and signed I-20 will be sent to you by email, or attached to your student record, for you to print out. If you print in color, the Advisor signatures will print as signed, in Blue ink.
