UF Research
The University of Florida Research provides programs and services to support UF faculty and staff in their research efforts. The Office can identify grant opportunities, manage proposals and awards, protect intellectual property, work with potential industry partners, and highlight research achievements and more.
Assistance with submitting your proposal and using UFIRST, contact the Division of Sponsored Programs (DSP). The unit facilitates institutional approval for all extramural proposal submissions, accepts and administers grant awards, and negotiates contracts and other research-related agreements on behalf of the University of Florida.

This office works closely with PI’s and units across campus to ensure a proper grant, contract or other award is prepared and executed between the Sponsor and UF. Provides assistance with:- Industry Agreements

Covers policies and procedures for oversight of the following:- Disclosing International Relationships and Activities to UF and Federal Agencies

- Environmental health & safety and research compliance
- Responsible Conduct in Research (RCR)
- Conflict of interest
- Export controls
- National policy on the transfer of scientific, technical and engineering information
Intellectual property
The UF Intellectual Property Policy explains the process of inventions, royalty distributions, special considerations that only affect members of the collective bargaining units, and most aspects of what happens when research results in intellectual property. Institutional Review Boards (IRB)
The IRBs review ALL research involving human subjects to ensure that their welfare and rights are protected as mandated by federal regulations.
