Plenary Description: Interculturalism is an important doctrine for educating people about different cultures and how to engage cultures effectively. While interculturalists have done a wonderful job illuminating culture, there is a perceptible void when it comes to facilitating conversations about the intercultural values of the LGBTQ+ lived experience around the world. To the extent that we become more knowledgeable about LGBTQ+ culture, the field of interculturalism will grow tremendously. As we strive to advance a healthy modern society, we would be wise to embrace the opportunity to illuminate the LGBTQ+ community in our intercultural conversations.
