Aghane is the Coordinator of Global Research Engagement at the UF International Center (UFIC), where she primarily manages the Global Fellows program. Before joining UFIC, she served as a Research Coordinator at the UF/IFAS Center for Remote Sensing (CRS).
Aghane holds a Master of Science in Geography from UF and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the same field, specializing in Nature-Society Studies. She also brings a background in communications, with a Bachelor’s Degree from Brazil, professional certificates in international corporate communications from Syracuse University, and digital geography and GIS from UF.
With over a decade of experience in communications, Aghane has coordinated stakeholder engagement strategies, organized outreach events, and served as a liaison in corporate relations across sectors such as energy, mining, oil and gas, and cosmetics.
In her role at UFIC, she applies her expertise in communications, geography, and interdisciplinary research to support international research engagement. Her research interests include economic geography, global value chains, bioeconomy development, and global and regional economies.
