The UFIC Staff Engagement Committee (SEC) reflects on a successful and engaging 2025, marked by a wide range of wellness-focused, inclusive, and community-building activities for staff and UFIC students. Comprised of representatives from across UFIC units, the SEC collaborated throughout the year to host events such as wellness workshops, potlucks, seasonal celebrations, interactive bulletin boards, and social gatherings, including Mardi Gras, Homecoming, Halloween, and the annual Holiday Party.

A major milestone was the launch of UFIC’s first Lending Library and the inaugural Student Appreciation Month, which celebrated student assistants through interactive activities and a breakfast with the Dean. Additional initiatives included staff shout-outs, walking challenges, food drives, rejuvenation stations, and creative office-wide programming.

Kudos to the following SEC 2025 members! Sara Williams – Human Resources, Quintessa Adams – Human Resources, Anita Badhwar – Office of Global Learning (filling in for Carrie Martins), Jen Nalli – Study Abroad Services, Martine Angrand – International Student Services, Amila Tica – Exchange Visitor Services, Christina Cozart – Communications & Marketing, Terrence Funke – Dean’s Office, Gabby Cromwell – Finance, Sharon Brown – Office for Global Research Engagement.

As the committee looks ahead to 2026, the SEC remains committed to fostering morale, connection, and a supportive workplace culture, and is grateful for leadership support and enthusiastic participation from the UFIC community.
