UF's former international student, Wilfried Yeguete, is currently volunteering to provide assistance to his community during this pandemic. In a post he writes:

"This crisis of Covid-19 has seen many forms of solidarity. Anonymous, artists, merchants, artisans, citizens, we have all surpassed ourselves because the solution to problems is in sharing. In my small level, I was able to help our community by contributing to food collections, shopping deliveries or by handing out masks to the inhabitants at the Monaco Train Station. I would also like to thank the Croix-Rouge de Monaco and the association Les Anges Gardiens de Monaco for welcoming me to their teams. Let's not stop our efforts, stay vigilant, apply the barriers gestures and stand in solidarity. The momentum of solidarity must become contagious and kill the coronavirus.", said Will.

Yeguete accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, and played for coach Billy Donovan's Florida Gators men's basketball team from 2010 to 2014. As a Gator, Yeguete was a member of an NCAA Final Four team in 2014, and NCAA Elite Eight teams in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

We're proud of you Global Gator!
