Congratulations to the International Scholar Graduates! The spring 2020 class was the biggest ISP class yet, with 71 graduates. Across the three ceremonies, 46 graduates presented their ePortfolios and 113 guests attended. Thank you to the coordinators for all their hard work and for putting on an incredible, well-organized virtual event for the students, families and staff!
Spotlight on some of our amazing ISP graduates!
While studying at UF, Jamauri Bryan studied Family, Youth, & Community Sciences while holding several leadership positions across campus, including being an International Scholars Program ambassador. Upon graduation, he has been awarded a prestigious fellowship to represent the United States in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals, funded by the U.S. Department of State and the German Bundestag.

Elisabeth Rios Brooks won multiple awards while studying at UF, including the CLAS Student Excellence Award and the Outstanding Four Year Scholar Award. After graduating with her B.A. in Anthropology & International Studies, Africa, she will begin an internship with Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture beginning in Fall 2020.

 Linnea Dulilkravich

While studying Political Science and Business Administration, Linnea Dulilkravich won a Champions for Change Award for her role in cofounding Assembly for Action, a community leadership conference that partners 50 university students each year with local nonprofits to craft and implement community service projects. She also received funding from the University Scholars Program to conduct international research in Serbia.

 Christopher Cuevas

Jane Gray, Jessie Desrosiers, and Christopher Cuevas were 3 of 16 students chosen to represent the University of Florida at the Doha Forum 2019, a global platform bringing together world leaders to discuss critical challenges facing the world in order to promote collaborative solutions. The selection process was competitive as the State of Qatar identified the University of Florida as a partner institution and funded expenses.

Several International Scholars Program graduates have accepted offers from Peace Corps to serve in a variety of sectors and locations. Durrell Cobb will serve as an Adolescent Health Promotor in Guyana. Leila Oberschall will serve as an education volunteer in Benin. Christopher Cuevas will serve as an agriculture volunteer in Senegal.
