International Scholars are required to complete an international experience or language learning experience. Students can meet this requirement by participating in:

  • studying a world language

  • a study abroad experience

  • an exchange program

  • an international research program

  • an internship abroad

  • a service learning experience

  • a heritage trip

Studying Abroad

Studying Abroad is a great way to gather international experience and immerse yourself in a new culture! There are three different types of study abroad programs available at UF. 

  • UF-Sponsored

  • Exchange Programs 

  • Non-UF Programs

Study Abroad Services (SAS) also offers research, internship, and service-learning opportunities abroad as well. To learn more about the different programs and options available to you, you please visit the SAS website, or meet with a study abroad advisor

Foreign Language at UF

UF offers a variety of language classes. International Scholars can fulfill their international experience or language learning requirement by taking two semesters of foreign language coursework. Check out a few options below:
