Welcome to the University of Florida!
As a student on a J-1 visa, you must complete the EVS check-in process at the beginning of your program.
This process is separate from any other new student orientations hosted by your academic department.
Part 1: Online Check-In Application
- Must be submitted within six days of arrival in the US.
- Exchange Visitor Services (EVS) will email you the link to this online check-in application prior to your program start date.
Part 2: Mandatory Check-In Orientation
- Held via Zoom shortly before the start of classes.
- You will be informed of the date and time well in advance. Please continue to regularly check your email for updates.
- Following orientation, you must clear any remaining registration holds on your ONE.UF account
