The University of Florida recently hosted ten undergraduate students from Kyoto University as part of a new official Kyoto University-sponsored exchange program. Selected from 45 applicants across diverse majors, the students were accompanied by Associate Professor Fumitaka Wakamatsu for their stay in Gainesville.
This program offered Kyoto students a short-term academic and cultural experience at UF. The visit included a welcome meeting organized by Dr. Michael Kung and Dean Marta L. Wayne, along with a full schedule of academic and cultural activities.
This inaugural program marked an important step in strengthening the partnership between UF and Kyoto University.
