The Fulbright Program, including the Fulbright-Hays Program, is the U.S. government's flagship program of highly competitive, merit-based grants for international educational exchange for students, scholars, teachers, professionals, scientists and artists, founded by U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright in 1946.
The Fulbright grants are awarded to U.S. citizens and nationals of other countries for a variety of educational activities, including university lecturing, conducting advanced research, completing graduate study, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools.
Visiting (non-U.S.) Fulbright Scholars
Visiting (non-U.S.) scholars come to the University of Florida from abroad to pursue their educational and professional goals. They apply in their home country, and their entry arrangements are supervised by Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) and other affiliated Fulbright programs.
International scholars should consult the CIES website for information about how to find a sponsor in a U.S. university. Departments wishing to sponsor a visiting (non-U.S.) scholars, should also consult CIES.
Notification of award to a visiting (non-U.S.) Fulbright scholar is sent by CIES to Luis Johnson with a copy to the UF faculty sponsor. Sponsoring departments serve as hosts to the visiting scholars.
All visiting (non-U.S.) scholars must check in at the University of Florida International Center through the Exchange Visitor Services, located in in 1765 Stadium Road, Suite 190 Hub.

International Fulbright Students

Notification of award to an international Fulbright student is sent to Claire Anumba.
All international Fulbright students must check-in at the University of Florida International Center through the International Student Services office located in 1765 Stadium Road, Suite 170 Hub, with Claire Anumba.
