In anticipation of Deborah Beck's Rothman lecture on Monday 26 February at 4:00 pm, UF's Classics Department is hosting a virtual reading group to talk about her book The Stories of Similes in Greek and Roman Epic (2023). A digital copy is available through UF's library. The book provides an opportunity to survey epics from Homer to Ovid. All members of UF community are welcome, especially students.
