SANTINA (Society for the Analysis of Cultural Topics and Linguistic Identities N’Asturies) is a network of academics and cultural creators that launched in 2021 with the inaugural 1st SANTINA Conference to increase the international visibility of Asturian Studies, while also promoting the development of collaborative projects. Its mission is to foster a space for the research, teaching and dissemination of Asturian language and culture internationally. We also seek to facilitate conversations between Asturians and scholars of Asturias, both in Asturias and in the diaspora. We are currently based in the United States and welcome members from all over the world interested in Asturian Studies.
In the Fall of 2021 we celebrated the first one, hosted by University of California Riverside. In the Spring of 2023 we gathered again at Oklahoma State University
The III SANTINA will be organized by Francisco J. Fernández Rubiera, from the University of Central Florida, and Imanol Suárez-Palma, from the University of Florida
