This scholarship provides awards of up to $1,000 for students studying on programs through the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC). Awards are available to undergraduates studying on a USAC program during the summer, fall, or spring term who have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Statement of Purpose |
USAC is known for having immersive programs that may require students to learn a new language, reside in a homestay, or live in a city that’s less traditional for study abroad. Due to their programs’ immersive nature, USAC hopes that students return from their experience having achieved a higher level of intercultural competency. Is there a particular aspect of your program with USAC that led you to choose it in the first place? How do you define ‘intercultural competency’, and how do you expect your intercultural competency to grow both while in-country and after returning home? |
