Many program options are available with third-party program providers, and other universities. While the University of Florida strives to provide programs to meet students’ needs and interest, students may find other programs of greater interest or purpose. We will work with the Office of the University Registrar to ensure credits from these programs will be accepted at UF. These programs are separated into three main categories that are largely categorized as Non-UF Programs and are listed below.
Affiliated Programs |
The University of Florida has affiliations with selected program providers. Credits approved by your academic advisor will transfer upon receipt of your transcript. Check with your Academic Advisor to determine if credits will count towards your degree requirements. Below is a list of our affiliated partners:

Other U.S. Universities |
Many U.S. universities and colleges have successful study abroad programs that meet the needs and interests of our students. These programs will be listed in our database with the name of the institution followed by the location or name of the program. |
Direct Enroll |
Sometimes students choose to attend a university overseas with which UF does not have a tuition exchange agreement. The International Center will work with the Office of the University Registrar to ensure that you will be able to receive an accredited transcript from your semester overseas. |
Students participating in Non-UF Programs are required to coordinate payment of their program fees directly to the third-party provider or foreign university with which they are working. In addition to those fees, the International Center will collect a service fee.
Application Process
All students enrolled in a Non-UF program must apply to UF Study Abroad by the UF Study Abroad application deadline. Students who retroactively apply to UF Study Abroad will be required to pay the application fee.
If you cannot find your chosen Non-UF Program in our database, please contact your Study Abroad Advisor in the International Center in order to submit a Study Abroad Program Proposal Form. Your Study Abroad Advisor will add your program to our database and you will be able to start your application once you receive notification. After completing the UF Study Abroad application, please complete the Non-UF program application.
