Gabby Cromwell

Gabby rejoined the International Center in September 2024 as an Accountant III. Her focus will be reconciling study abroad programs, scholarships, and travel approvals. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University. While in college, she traveled all over the US and hopes to continue that at UFIC.

Gabby lives on the outskirts of Gainesville, where she spends her free time with her husband and dogs. She is so excited to be back at UFIC and to help students achieve their international education goals.

Maya James

Maya joined the International Center in March 2024. She oversees the accounting and administration processes for Study Abroad Services. A Louisiana native, Maya holds a B.A.

John J. Mulligan

John Mulligan is the Health, Safety and Global Risk Manager for the University of Florida International Center (UFIC). In this capacity, John works with other stakeholders to develop and implement best practices for health, safety, and risk management for students, faculty, and staff traveling internationally. 

Liltesha Bryant

Tesha has worked at the University of Florida since 2003 and is currently UFIC’s Accounting Specialist. In this role, she processes invoices for Study Abroad Services, daily deposits, reconciliations, and other related accounting duties. She loves spending time with her family, enjoying the beach, and traveling.  Tesha has traveled to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Aruba, France, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico.  

Sebastian Rodriguez Natali

Sebastian is responsible for the financial, budgeting, and fiscal operations of the UF International Center since October 2022.

From Buenos Aires, Argentina, Sebastian joined the University of Florida in 2011. He earned a B.S. in Finance and an MBA from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

A former exchange and international student, Sebastian is aware of the importance of UFIC’s mission and commitment to international education and intellectual freedom and exchange.

Dean Marta L. Wayne

Dr. Wayne is a professor of Biology, specializing in the evolution & ecology of infectious disease and evolutionary genetics. Wayne’s research has taken her to México to work with a collaborator studying the monarch butterfly migration and to spend a sabbatical with a collaborator in Canada working on infectious disease. Wayne’s international engagement began when, as a postdoc, she participated in a trinational young investigators’ workshop (Germany, Japan, and the US) sponsored by the international scientific organization, Society for Molecular Biology & Evolution (SMBE).

Terrence Funke

Terrence Funke is Executive Assistant to Dean Marta L. Wayne. Terrence earned his B.A. in English from the University of Florida and has been working in retail management for 10 years. Terrence has always maintained a strong connection to Gainesville, returning periodically to judge for the UF Speech and Debate Team, of which he is a proud alumnus. He enjoys reading, writing, and riding his bike in his free time, and is extremely happy to be back home at UF!

Sara Williams

Sara, a Gainesville native, holds a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources, both from St. Leo University. She has been with UF since 2016 and joined the International Center in September 2021. In collaboration with unit supervisors, Sara manages all HR transactions including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll, records management, and employee relations.

Jackie Johnson

Jackie joined the International Center in July 2021. She works with faculty to prepare budgets for their study abroad programs and prepare faculty agreements. She also assists with questions related to students’ program fee payments using financial aid.

Jackie was born and raised in Gainesville, FL.  She has visited the Bahamas and enjoyed relaxing on their private island. She hopes to take a trip to Jamaica in the near future to indulge in their cuisines.

Sharon Brown

Sharon is originally from New Jersey but grew up in Miami. She has a BA in Political Science from the University of Florida and studied abroad in Rio de Janeiro during her junior year. Prior to joining the UFIC, Sharon worked as a prospect researcher at the UF Foundation. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, writing, watching movies and Gator sports.
