Paloma Rodriguez, Director of the Office of Global Learning (UFIC), Dr. Natalie Coers in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communication, and Dr. Ryan Good in the School of Natural Resources and Environment, attended the THE Global Sustainable Development Congress in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, this past month. Delegates from higher education, governments, industry, and societal organizations from across the globe discussed how to meet the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by working collaboratively on solutions that have real impact.

Dr. Natalie Coers oversees the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Leadership Institute and Challenge 2050 Project. She leads Sustainable Development Goals Faculty Learning Community, an interdisciplinary faculty group focused on the SDGs in teaching/programming. Dr. Coers is also a workshop facilitator in the Global Learning Institute, in which she shares information on how faculty can incorporate UN SDGs into their curriculum.

Dr. Ryan Good was a 2022 participant in the Global Learning Institute, a professional development program for faculty, and is a co-leader in the Sustainable Development Goals faculty learning community.
