weTree is one of the initiatives that emerged from the Circular Health Program, and seeks to combine recognition of women, awareness on the importance of green areas in cities and towns, and engagement between municipalities and citizens on improving the urban environment through dedicated projects.

This initiative has three goals:

developing green areas dedicated to women who have distinguished themselves actively working for a better society,
teaching good green practices to citizens
encouraging local authorities to support initiatives that create better, greener, more beautiful cities and raise awareness about sustainability and equal opportunities among citizens.

Administrators of participating cities sign a pact through this link.

In particular, on International Women’s Day, March 8th 2022, the city of Turin, one of the first signatories of the pact, will inaugurate the Woodland for Others, dedicated to Lia Varesio.
