We are recruiting fellows for the International Agricultural Education Fellowship Program (IAEFP-Mexico, IAEFP-Ghana/Guatemala) to promote agriculture among youth in developing countries. The programs are funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and implemented by university partner implementers. The fellowships will support and train 8 - 9 fellows to be based in secondary schools for an academic year to promote agriculture and leadership among the students and community.
The IAEFP is open to U.S. citizens with a bachelor’s degree in an agriculture-related field, and for Mexico and Guatemala programs, requires Spanish language skills. The fellows will support hands-on learning using school-based agricultural education and other curricula that facilitate youth’s leadership in agriculture throughout food value chains. Based on a community needs assessments, fellows work to implement relevant and sustainable agricultural projects at each school.
