Gainesville Master Chorale & Orchestra with the UF Choral Union present Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and Vivaldi’s Bassoon Concerto La Notte.

Giacomo Puccini is best known as a magnificent composer of Italian operas, including world-famous works such as La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, and Turandot. One of his lesser known masterpieces is the Messa di Gloria for Tenor and Baritone soloists, Chorus and Orchestra.

It is full of glorious and sumptuous melodies that we expect from Puccini.

Antonio Vivaldi’s flash ‘n dash Bassoon Concerto La Notte will be played by Gainesville’s worldclass bassoonist, Arnold Irchai.

The concert is free.
