Laura has diverse professional and academic experience, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of South Carolina, a Juris Doctorate from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, and a Master of Education from the University of Florida. Her career spans roles as an attorney, insurance agent/broker, and middle school English teacher.
Laura’s passion for international education and travel blossomed during a study abroad program in Paris while in law school. During her time in Europe, she visited France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and England, and her love for global exploration has since led her to travel to Mexico, Costa Rica, Ireland, and Scotland.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Laura enjoys attending the theater—whether it’s opera, musicals, ballet, or plays—and staying active through physical fitness and yoga. She also enjoys “glamping” in Florida’s beautiful state parks, embracing both adventure and relaxation.
