Maya James

Maya joined the International Center in March 2024. She oversees the accounting and administration processes for Study Abroad Services. A Louisiana native, Maya holds a B.A.

Shauna Quirk

Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Shauna is part of a multi-generational U.S. Army family. Her journey includes exposure to many different cultures and languages, shaped by her Army experiences, as well as civilian travels.

As the Enrollment and Credit Transfer Specialist, Shauna might be your initial point of contact for general study abroad inquiries at the International Center.

Liltesha Bryant

Tesha has worked at the University of Florida since 2003 and is currently UFIC’s Accounting Specialist. In this role, she processes invoices for Study Abroad Services, daily deposits, reconciliations, and other related accounting duties. She loves spending time with her family, enjoying the beach, and traveling.  Tesha has traveled to the Bahamas, Jamaica, Aruba, France, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico.  

Morgan Williams-Franklin

Morgan advises for Italy, Germany, and Austria programs.

A native of Gainesville, Morgan attended the University of Florida and completed her B.A. in Music Education. She grew up visiting family in Europe and has extensive experience traveling to Germany and Austria where she completed a study abroad program. She’s earning double Gator status by currently working in her UF M.Ed. in Student Personnel in Higher Education. Morgan previously worked for UF’s Office of Admissions and UF Online.

Alice Lopes

Born and raised in South Florida, Alice Malnic Lopes is a Brazilian-American with a passion for international studies and higher education. Alice grew up in a community with other Brazilian and Latin-American expat families, where she was exposed to the variety of cultures and backgrounds that exist in the melting pot that is South Florida. This shaped the way she viewed the world and served as the foundation to her interest in international studies.

Jackie Johnson

Jackie joined the International Center in July 2021. She works with faculty to prepare budgets for their study abroad programs and prepare faculty agreements. She also assists with questions related to students’ program fee payments using financial aid.

Jackie was born and raised in Gainesville, FL.  She has visited the Bahamas and enjoyed relaxing on their private island. She hopes to take a trip to Jamaica in the near future to indulge in their cuisines.

Maria Selezneva

Maria Selezneva advises for Russia, South East Asia countries and the Law Program.

She is originally from Russia where she completed her Master’s degree in Law at the International University of Nature Society and Man, Dubna. After participating in a student exchange program with the United States for two years in a row, she decided to obtain a Certificate in Translation and Professional Communication and move to the US. She lived in WI for past 6 years and is extremely happy to embrace warm and friendly Gainesville as her new hometown.

Nicole Fuls

Nicole is the Assistant Director of Faculty Engagement in Study Abroad Services (UF International Center). In this role, she works with faculty on program development and also presents workshops and training for study abroad faculty. She also advises students studying abroad in Latin/South America.
