Dr. Michael Kung, Director of Global Research Engagement at the University of Florida International Center, was named to the Fulbright Specialist roster for a three-year term, joining a global network of experts dedicated to strengthening institutional ties and advancing mutual understanding through education and collaboration.

The Fulbright Specialist Program (FSP) was established in 2001 by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. It pairs highly qualified U.S. academics and professionals with host institutions across the globe for two- to six-week, project-based exchanges. Fulbright Specialists share their expertise, strengthen institutional linkages, hone their skills, gain international experience, and learn about other cultures while building capacity at their overseas host institutions.

Being named to the Fulbright Specialist Roster recognizes Dr. Kung’s expertise and commitment to global research engagement and campus internationalization. He will be eligible to collaborate on capacity-building and institutional partnership projects in up to 160 participating countries. This is Dr. Kung's second US Fulbright Award as he was previously a US Fulbright Scholar in the Taiwan IEA program.

Congratulations, Dr. Kung!
