Martin Grisel, Founder and Director of the European Urban Knowledge Network (EUKN), and Federica Risi, Senior Policy and Project Officer, will examine how European cities are integrating nature-based solutions (NBS) into urban policy and planning to promote active, healthy lifestyles and strengthen urban resilience.
The talk will discuss the current political momentum for nature restoration in the EU, as well as the opportunities and challenges for embedding green infrastructure, public space requalification, and urban biodiversity into mainstream urban governance. Students will gain insights into real-world policy processes, examples from European cities, and the role of evidence-based collaboration in driving sustainable urban transformation.
