The Spanish delegation included faculty from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), researchers from the Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Agrarias (IVIIA) and members of the Valencia Citrus Growers Association.

The Gator Citrus Club (GCC) organized a program agenda for the Spanish delegation which included a tour of the UF Citrus Research and Education Center (CREC) in Lake Alfred, visits to the Horticultural Science (HOS) and Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ABE) Departments on campus, as well as a tour of W. G. Roe & Son's citrus farms in Winter Haven.

The GCC traveled to Valencia (Spain) last May 2018 where they learned about the Spanish agriculture industry. The UPV was the club's host university. During that visit, the GCC members had the opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with faculty and students of the UPV College of Agriculture and the Environment.

The GCC would like to thank UF Faculty, students and staff from the Horticultural Science (HOS) and the Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ABE) Departments as well as CREC's faculty and staff for welcoming and sharing with our visitors.

Special thanks to Dr. Peter Dittmar (HOS), Dr Rafael Muñoz-Carpena (ABE), Dr. Davie Kadyampakeni (Soil & Water) and Dr. Fred Gmitter (CREC) for leading the tours in their respective departments and research center.
