After a month immersed in Belize’s vibrant ecosystems, ancient landmarks, and diverse cultures, Dr. Kumaran and his students have returned to Gainesville, inspired and enriched by their experience in the UF in Belize: NGOs, Sustainability & Development study abroad program.
This unique program went far beyond sightseeing. Students engaged directly with nine impactful NGOs and nonprofit organizations. Through their exploration of the Belize Barrier Reef, they gained firsthand insight into the important work being done in Belize.
