A delegation from Universidad CEU (Spain) visited the University of Florida from March 26-27, 2025, to explore academic collaborations, student engagement, and to continue adding institutional partnerships. Led by Alvaro Antón, Vice Rector for Internationalization & Campus Life at Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera, the delegation included key representatives from Universidad CEU’s Valencia, Castellón, and Madrid campuses.
During the Universidad CEU delegation’s visit to the University of Florida, meetings took place across various departments and colleges, fostering academic collaboration and institutional engagement. Discussions were held at the University of Florida International Center, particularly within the Office of Global Learning, to explore global initiatives. The delegation engaged with representatives from the Division of Student Life and the College of Education, focusing on grant management and academic programs. Conversations within the Warrington College of Business centered on information systems and operations management, while the Center for Latin American Studies provided insights into outreach and business programs, including the Florida-Brazil Linkage Institute. The College of Journalism and Communications facilitated discussions on public relations, and the College of Health & Human Performance hosted meetings on applied physiology and kinesiology. The delegation also met with faculty from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to discuss political science initiatives. Additionally, they visited the College of Veterinary Medicine to learn about advancements in small animal clinical services. The visit concluded with engagement at the Career Connections Center, reinforcing the shared commitment to academic excellence and international collaboration between the two institutions.
The delegation toured the UF campus, visited significant student spaces like the Reitz Union and the UF Bookstore, and engaged in discussions about global learning initiatives. The visit also included networking opportunities, such as a formal dinner and academic exchanges, strengthening international collaboration between Universidad CEU and the University of Florida.
