UFIC's International Students Services Director, Martine Angrand presented recently in a Master's Prospective Student Webinar for Engineering.

UFIC staff administer the programs that made possible over 6,600 international students on campus or pursuing practical training. UFIC also helps the UF community to overcome the barriers and to navigate the increasingly complex intricacies of both American and international regulations on global engagement.

On Tuesday, October 17th, the Exchange Visitor Services unit within the UF International Center hosted a pumpkin carving event open for all J-1 visa holders and their families. The event introduced students and scholars to American Halloween traditions as well as tips and tricks for carving Jack-O-Lanterns. This event is part of the on-going EVS mission to further cultural education and facilitate cultural exchange.

University of Florida students now have an opportunity to study abroad in London as part of a special program that teaches about accommodations for people with disabilities — and is itself disability friendly. My workspace at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, includes shelves stacked with rare, preserved plant specimens.
