Before transferring to the University of Florida (UF), Jordan was pursuing a degree in Electronics Engineering at the University of the West Indies, Mona. He transferred his credits to UF and is now enrolled in a dual program in Electrical and Aerospace Engineering, with plans to pursue a Master’s in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, focusing on control systems. Jordan is an active member of the Swamp Launch Rocket Club at UF, where students design, build, test, and fly rockets. International Student Services and Exchange Visitor Services welcomed new undergraduate students to campus at orientation on January 10. Students gathered from all over the world to hear from campus and community partners about all the resources available to them to make their time at UF successful. Dr. Daeun "Dana" Choi, a UF assistant professor of agricultural and biological engineering at UF's Gulf Coast Research and Education Center was elected to the Management Committee of the Club of Bologna.  Dr. Choi will be the youngest member and the only member from the Americas on the committee.   The eighty-five full members of the club  meet annually in Bologna, Hannover, or Bari to "promote discussions and exchange of experiences among the leading international experts from research, industry and international organizations in the field of agricultural machines and mechanization."  UF has a strong tradition of participation and leadership in the club by faculty and alumni.
