The College of Education-sponsored International Fair was a resounding success! The event featured guest tables from globally engaged UF departments and organizations, international-focused student groups, as well as UF and community resources. Attendees enjoyed local tasting opportunities showcasing a variety of global cuisines and a lively salsa demonstration by AscenDance Salsa Co.

The College of Journalism and Communications hosted a delicious lunch featuring dishes from around the world. International students shared "Tiny Travel Tales" encouraging attendees to pursue global experiences. Go Global Gators!

UFIC Exchange Student Services kicked off International Education Week (as well as the holiday season) with a successful Global Holiday Postcard event. Participants had the chance to decorate postcards to send home, including postage, and crafts!

The Potluck dinner for UF International Fulbright Students & Scholars featured dishes from Jamaica, Denmark, Mexico, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, and the US. Attendees included Davis UWC Scholars, SAPA, and other Honors students.

Multiple programs participated in this kick-off event, setting up their tables to expand international education horizons and showcase their culture with folkloric demos and country artifacts. Big thanks to all our IEW partners for participating!

UFGIFT Essential Oils events brought the international community together. Participants took a few minutes break to make their own essential oil. The aroma from the oil helped them out of their busy mind to their body for a moment, cultivating the calmness needed to navigate the stress as they approach the end of the semester.

Professors Rujeko Dumbutshena and Rachel Carrico co-hosted a mini-conference on Monday with the students in their course, "Global Dance Perspectives." Monday was Day 1 and it will continue on Wednesday. The first panel was on "Cultural Interactions of Movement." 

The University of Florida hosts over 6,000 international students, with India being one of the top contributing countries to the student population, reflecting the university's commitment to global diversity and multicultural representation. 

The University of Florida International Center (UFIC) recognizes Diwali (also known as Festival of Lights) as India's biggest and most important holiday of the year and invites campus audiences to celebrate and learn the significance of Diwali holiday.

UFIC is honored to be recognized for this activity which promotes international education on campus.
