Forbes has named the University of Florida the No. 4 public university in the nation and among the top institutions in the country for return on investment, according to rankings released today.

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and World Learning informed that professor Emeritus of Ceramics, Anna Calluori Holcombe have been recommended by the Peer Review Panel for placement on the Fulbright Specialist Roster for a tenure of three years. Thus, the professor’s Roster tenure officially begins on 08/16/2024 and will end on 08/16/2027.

As a candidate on the Fulbright Specialist Roster, Anna Calluori Holcombe is now eligible to be matched with projects.

ISS and ESS hosted on Monday the F-1 Undergraduate and J-1 Exchange Students Orientation and Tabling at the Reitz Union Rion Ballroom. The event counted with campus tour, presentations by campus partners, F-1 and J-1 regulations to cover, as well as tabling by the campus partners, the SSA, and the ACTC (for FLHSMV). In June, Professor Auletta of the University of Florida's Entomology and Nematology Department attended the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) conference in which he presented on how to make international learning experiences accessible for all students through virtual exchange. For the third year, UF was one of the few U.S. institutions selected to 
participate in the program “Expanding and Embedding COIL Virtual Exchange at Honduran and Central American Universities,” a regional partnership initiative supported by the United States Embassy in Tegucigalpa. Two UF faculty were selected to participate in the program: Dr. Paula Golombek, Clinical Professor in the Department of Linguistics, and Dr. Antonio Sajid López, Associate Instructional Professor in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese Studies.
