The Global Learning Institute is a semester-long program where faculty learn about internationalization models, campus resources, and teaching methods to support global learning. The program reinforces professional development at UF by creating interdisciplinary learning communities and by expanding the teaching toolkit of our faculty.

This new grant is open to all Postdoctoral Associates keen on elevating their research endeavors and provides support for international research and travel. Nominees were evaluated based on their professional achievements, the relevance of their proposed travel to ongoing or prospective research, the potential transformative impact of their work, and the opportunities for collaboration and networking.

The Global Fellows Program provides an opportunity for early-career UF faculty to kick-start an international research program. A series of workshops and training sessions, along with a seed grant of $5,000, provides fellows an opportunity to lay the groundwork for an international research project.

The College of Health and Human Performance host a luncheon annually during IEW for ISAA HHP awardees to celebrate their achievements at UF.

Senegalese researcher Dr. Alioune Touré has been visiting UF campus this past month.

Dr. Touré is a veterinarian by training. He is currently the Head of Livestock and Technology Sciences Department at the University of Sine-Saloum El Hadji Ibrahima NIASS (USSEIN) in Kaffrine, Senegal. Up until August 2023 he worked with Drs. Nargiza Ludgate, Sarah McKune, Renata Serra, and Sandra Russo on an IDRC funded project titled “Advancing women’s participation in livestock vaccine value chains in Nepal, Senegal, and Uganda.” He was the country coordinator in Senegal supporting the work of UF researchers and students in Kaffrine.
