Published annually since 2000, the LABER provides a yearly review of the business, investment and legal environments in all of the Latin American states, including Cuba and Haiti. This year’s edition examines the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on Latin America.

In the wake of the recent horrific events in Atlanta and other cities, Women Make Movies (WMM) has been reflecting on the rise in anti-Asian sentiment and hate crimes against Asian-American communities. Women Make Movies has co-signed a collective community statement of solidarity with Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Atlanta chapter against misogyny, systemic violence, and white supremacy.

Margaret Galvan, Assistant Professor in the Department of English, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, was awarded a Stanford Humanities Center External Faculty Fellowship for academic year 2021-22. This distinguished residential fellowship supports scholars working in the humanities and interpretive social sciences to pursue their research while participating in the interdisciplinary residential community of the Stanford Humanities Center.
